New Bags, New Pricing
Our Coffee Bags Got a Major Upgrade!
Big news! Our coffee bags are getting a fresh new look and some smart new features! From upgraded resealability to thoughtful design touches, here’s everything you need to know:
Our Bear Got a Glow-Up
Our beloved bear mascot has evolved. Instead of staring straight at you, our bear now gazes off into the future, clearly pondering the perfect roast.
We’ve also said goodbye to roll-down tops that used to cover up the design. The new bag keeps its sleek, finished look even after opening.

Bye Tin-Tie, Hello Zip-Lock
We’ve swapped the old tin-tie closure for a resealable zip-lock. Why? Because we’ve always left bags unsealed in our cafes so we can grind the beans fresh for you, but once the bag was opened, it couldn’t be resealed, especially larger beans like our Sumatra that nearly overflow the bag.
Now, with our new zip-lock design:
- We can seal coffee at the roastery
- We can open, grind, and reseal it in cafes
- You get maximum freshness and convenience
The only trade-off? A slightly smaller opening—but trust us, it’s worth it.
New Bag Sizes & Prices: What’s Changing
Yes, we’re changing our bag sizes, and yes, prices are going up. But here’s the full story:

New Sizes: 12oz & 2lb
We’re retiring the 1lb bag and shifting to:
- 12oz bags for our limited roasts (finally a bag that fits!)
- 12oz and 2lb bags for our classic roasts, so you can stock up and cut down on waste
While much of the coffee industry is downsizing, we’re giving you both a smaller and larger option to suit your needs.
Why Prices Are Going Up
Let’s talk about it. The cost of green coffee is up—way up. Here’s why:
- The global coffee commodity market (aka the C market) is at an all-time high
- Extreme weather and smaller harvests are limiting supply
- Investor speculation is pushing prices even higher
- Many farmers are holding their crops, waiting for better prices
And we don’t just buy any coffee; we work directly with farmers who grow specialty-grade beans. We pay more to ensure high-quality, ethical sourcing. As prices rise, those producers are charging more, too, and we’re committed to maintaining quality, not cutting corners.
We made these changes before the recent tariffs were announced. As the situation continues to evolve, we’ll monitor it closely and adjust as needed, but for now, we’re sticking to our plan.
