This is our third year working with Pablo del Cid from Finca el Jardin. This year we knew we wanted to work together again, so we got in early on some really delicious samples and jumped at the opportunity to grab some different lots from his family farm.
You can really taste the hard work that goes into growing and processing this coffee. While washed coffees shine in Guatemala, there is absolutely room for a good natural process, especially from a family farm that cares for every coffee-cherry they grow.
We really think that by pushing this roast a little closer to a medium we bring out a nice fruity juiciness that coats the palette with lush notes of grape and pomegranate, Those fruit notes are rounded out with the slightest taste of Swiss chocolate making this coffee a really approachable natural.
