Java is often used interchangeably with the word "coffee,"but it is actually an island in Indonesia. Unlike the more popular Sumatran coffees, this one is processed in the "Giling Kering" style which means that the cherries are washed, dryed to 12% moisture, and then hulled. This produces a cleaner cup than the typically very earthy and rustic profiles of Sumatrans.
This is one of our darker roasts with notes of spice, amaretto, and fudge.
