Sumatra is famous for their earthy, big-bodied coffees that can stand up to being roasted nice and dark. We push this one as dark as we can before the roast overpowers the origin characteristics. This new coffee was separated at origin as a stand out from the other coffees produced in the region. It maintains the big earthy tones, notes that are reminiscent of a Cabernet wine, and a heavy body that we've had in our previous Sumatrans. The best way to get to know this coffee is through a French Press on a cold day!
