Next up in the Pablo del Cid Farm Direct series is his Red & Yellow Catuai blend.
Developed in 1950's through the 60's by the Instituto Agronomico do Campinas in Brazil, the Catuai Varietal is a hybrid of the Caturra and Mundo Novo varietals. Coming in red and yellow varieties, the Catuai varietal combines the dwarf characteristics of Caturra and the strength and resilience of Mundo Novo.
Pablo's Red & Yellow Catuai comes off clean and juicy and is our main batch brew currently at the café. The staff loves it's chardonnay crispness with a little bit of cinnamon spice and a pucker of honey crisp apple. With warmer weather on the way, this is one of those "stand on the back porch wrapped in a blanket and watch the sun rise on budding bushes" kind of coffees.
